A Minor Forest are from San Francisco and began playing as such in 1993. Erik Hoversten plays guitar, guitorgan, omnichord and sings. John Benson plays bass and triggers all the tape loops. Andee Connors plays drums, a little guitar and is prone to the occasional spat of yelling. The band took a hiatus in 1998 and returned in 2013 with a full tour.
